*You will need an electric ice cream maker! The below recipe is for a machine that yields 1.5 quarts or 10 1/2-cup servings. If you have a larger ice cream maker, make the standard vanilla ice cream recipe in its accompanying booklet, and adjust the s'mores ingredients for the larger yeild.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup whole milk, well chilled
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups heavy cream, well chilled
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 jar of Marshmallow Fluff or Kraft Marshmallow Crème (3-1/2 ounces)
- 8-ounce milk chocolate bar, chopped fine
- 3/4 cup crushed graham crackers (can add less or more of this, per your taste)
Method:
In a medium bowl using an electric mixer, combine milk and sugar until sugar is dissolved, about 2 minutes. Stir in heavy cream and vanilla. Chill in refrigerator 30 minutes.
Fire up your ice cream maker and pour in chilled vanilla base; let process for 25 minutes.
WHILE MACHINE IS STILL RUNNING, dollop in Marshmallow Fluff, poking down with spoon if necessary. Pour in chocolate and crushed graham crackers.
Process for another 5 minutes. The ice cream will have a soft-serve texture.
Transfer to an air-tight container and freeze for at least an hour. And then, just TRY to keep yourself out of that freezer!
